The Regional Overseer for Internal Bulk Containers is responsible for managing the operations, maintenance, and compliance of internal bulk containers used for waste management across the region. The role ensures that containers are properly used, maintained, and comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor outsourced services Determine the needs and resources required for community programs and events including special projects Monitor provision of services rendered in the outsourced areas Ensure compliance with all relevant environment, waste, health and safety legislations Initiate and conduct area inspections in all outsourced areas (jointly with contractors) Ensure improved service provision and compliance with relevant legislations and by-laws Perform administrative functions of outsourced services Compile reports for submission to the Operations Officer: Outsourced Services Compile bulk containers' data statements for billing Receive monthly invoices and prepare payment certificates and cheque applications for the service providers Prepare compliance notices and impose penalties as per contract specification Ensure excellent liaison with stakeholders Attend public meetings/IDO/Imbizos, ward and service delivery meetings Build and maintain sound relationships with both contractors and co-workers Inform contractors and public about council policies and initiate short term interventions and campaigns Control the overall performance of contractor

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate Code EC driver's licence with Valid PrDP Vehicle Technical knowledge 1 year relevant experience
